Title: Revolution max number of motors

can the revolution support an octocopter layout I am looking to build an eagle 650 with 8 or 4 motors just starting my research

yes, i think it support up-to 12 pwm output, maybe u can use the gcs's vehicle setup wizard

Octos are not supported in Wizard.

so if you have a h copter and have 2 motors per arm 1 up 1 down do you split the single from the esc or daisey chain it if you wanted the two motors to act as one if you know what i mean

The "quad" you describe is the OctoCoax.

You need to affect two motors outputs on FlexiIO port.

You should do something like that and keep the bank5 (white outputs) for other usage like a buzzer.

Output 8 and 9 are on FlexiIO, pin7 and pin8
