Title: Cc3d for a wing
Post by: TMGsi on November 17, 2020, 06:39:45 pm
hello group.

would a cc3d for a wing have a auto-launch flight mode?

 another doubt.
which flight mode would be cool for a wing?

A problem with fixed wing is that you should be an experienced pilot and be able to fly in Manual mode while you are tuning the stabilization (PIDs, level flight trim, etc).

CC3D does not have GPS flight modes.  Revo has some GPS flight mode auto takeoff and landing, but I don't know if they work for fixed wing and I have never tried them.

This is a wing so it is hand-launched?  It would seem that Attitude mode should work well for that.  Attitude mode is self leveling.  Is there something you think you need that is more than Attitude mode?

Be aware that Attitude mode has some PID wind-up issues while you hold it in your hand, so you should probably reduce the ILimit once you are done tuning the PID or quickly throttle up after launch.  You really need to leave Stabilization->ZeroTheIntegral enabled.

Personally I use Rate mode which helps a lot compared to Manual, and doesn't have as much windup as Attitude.  Of course Rate is not self-levelling.

If the model has any kind of rudder control, I suggest that you set rudder/yaw stabilization to Manual.

I'm not an excellent wing pilot, but I can take off, and fly smoothly,
I have a Mini Ar Wing and I love it, and it's with Inav, which has autolaunch as its flight mode.

and what does Inav's autolaunch consist of?

it basically programs the engine acceleration in rpm and time and keeps the ailerons programmed to rise 30 degrees.

An example: engine at 70% for 5 seconds and rising 30 degrees.  (all of these values can be changed).

launched the wing with his hands the autolaunch starts for 5 seconds.  after that time there is the other flight mode, (it would be the stabilized one).

that's what I wanted to know if cc3d can do it or if it does.

Nothing even close to that for CC3D.  Revo has some GPS mode stuff that sounds similar, but I have not used it myself.
