Title: Firmware upgrade from Openpilot causing issues with CC3D bootloader. (SOLVED)
Post by: mblizzard on March 21, 2020, 07:01:03 am
Hi,

I have had an issue with the boot-loader on a CC3D that I believe was caused by trying to update firmware from Openpilot (rather than Librepilot). I did this in an attempt to fix a different issue.

Librepilot does not recognize or connect to the CC3D.
LED's indicate that the CC3D is in boot-loader mode.

The rescue method  from librepilot seems to complete successfully, but does not allow the board to connect. Also, the 'On Device' firmware version does not change after flashing a different one.

Thanks.

EDIT: SOLVED by:

1) Reboot of PC
2) Used rescue method (from librepilot) to flash a 2013 firmware version (2013) that would be compatible with old openpilot bootloader.
3) Manually updated firmware.
