Title: Revolution as groundstation for oplink
Post by: Johnatronecl on November 06, 2019, 03:37:03 am
I am using an oplink mini radio on my transmitter to output ppm control. The Revolution I’m using receives ppm, but I would like to “forward” the signal for testing, i.e., output the received ppm signal somehow. Is this possible?

Second, could I use the Revo as a groundstation, that sends ppm signals from my transmitter to an oplink mini on the drone?

It's certainly possible to map any receiver Accessory channels that the Revo gets onto Revo outputs (PWM) using Vehicle -> RcInput/RcOutput.  I am not aware of a way to output for example PPM from Revo that contains all channels.  As far as I know, only OpLink can output PPM, and only when set up as airborne (like if you use it for a receiver and send the PPM to a CC3D).  I might be wrong and this may be somewhat enhanced in next.

One of the things on my list of things I would like to see is Revo firmware that acts like OpLink.  It is certainly possible, but as far as I know has never been done.  When done, it would start with the same features as OpLink.
