Title: Channel Plane (no ailerons) on Revo
Post by: yutsin1301 on August 08, 2019, 06:30:30 pm
Hello, does anyone know if LibrePilot being run on a Revolution board can control a fixed wing with only a rudder and elevator?  I've not found a way to disable the aeileron when using the vehicle setup wizzard.  It may be possible to do a custom configuration but that is beyond my ability right now.  Am I missing anything in the setup wizard or do I need to learn how to do a custom setup?  Or is it just not possible?

My goal is to have the option for flight stabilization and also autonomous flight on this plane, I assume if the fc is expecting to be able to make corrections with aeilerons and there are not any it will not be able to.

Thank-you in advance for any ideas.

You should start with the fixed wing > Aileron - one servo from wizard and connect the rudder from your plane to the channel 1, elevator to channel 2 and motor to channel 4.
This assumes your wing has dihedral, of course.

Next you can double check the effect from the rudder/aileron and reverse the "FixedWingRoll1" (ch1) if needed in Output tab.
May need to reduce the PID for Roll also.
