Title: Simple arm indication
Post by: vgwit on May 30, 2018, 12:03:13 pm
Is there a way to have a simple (not using WS2811) arm signal on Revo board on a bit of a port? I.e. 0 for "not armed" and 1 for "armed" or vice versa.

Thanks.

Not that I know of, unless you want to design a code change for it.  It seems a bit of a waste of a port.  Sparky2 has an extra port dedicated to LEDs (can be used for other things too).

I can maybe understand wanting a beeper, but if you want an LED, the WS2811 is so simple and works so well.  Cheap too.  You solder a servo connector/cable to the LED, plug it in to an unused servo/ESC connector, configure it, and it is done.  Not only does it show armed or not armed, it tells you why it won't arm and problems/flightMode after arming.
