Title: Porting LibrePilot to other hardware (F7 boards)
Post by: Simba741 on March 13, 2018, 04:16:27 am
Hi,
There are whole new platform (F7 based boards) being released for Betaflight FC. These board are highly capable and would be very similar to LibrePilot platform. What is the possibility of porting or including support for those boards.
Thanks.

It would need a developer who wants to do it.  Next version already has new support for some F3 and F4 boards.  Hopefully with this it will be easier to add new boards in the future.

Some people have expressed interest in F7 boards, but they are considered by some to be a bit of overkill.

People that need big processing power, like for vision processing, usually add a separate board designed for it, rather than bogging down the CPU that needs to handle flight stabilization in real time.

The race for faster loop times has been discussed ad nauseam.   ::)
