Yes, get a matched set.  Set ESC beep options to Fast Startup, LVC=Nicad.  Use PWMSync or PWM@490Hz during LP setup.

If you think you will stay in the hobby it's best to understand about ESC firmwares.  Most ESCs can be flashed with firmware that is better optimized for quadcopter use.  BLHeli and SimonK are the main firmwares.  Google about them.  :)

I use cheap $3.50 eBay generic 30A ESCs in all my builds, but I always flash them with the latest SimonK or BLHeli right after testing them for DOA.
