Title: RC input problem with 16.09 with "dirty" FW but not 16.09 RC2 with same FW
Post by: xrxpercy on October 03, 2017, 09:14:44 pm
I discovered that my new Spectrum SPM4649T telemetry receiver would not set up correctly with 16.09 GCS. I switched back from 16.09 RC2 because of the mismatch reported when starting up.  I have "dirty" firmware installed to fix the east / west oscillation with a Naza GPS.  The GCS transmitter wizard reports high RC channels, 9 through 12 and other incorrect channels. The flight mode switch shows on 10 instead of 5.  Switching back to 16.09 RC2 GCS eliminates the problem, but now the mismatch nag window appears again.

Your GCS version should always match your firmware version or you may have confusing results.

The firmware that fixes the east / west Naza GPS oscillation issue is exactly 16.09 Release, but with the aforementioned fix.  It should be used with a 16.09 Release GCS, not a release candidate.

The fixed firmware UAVOs match the 16.09 release UAVOs so it is considered to be 16.09, but it is not built with the special RELEASE flag set, so it warns you that it is not a release on the firmware page.  Any issues that you get with the fixed firmware should also occur in release 16.09 firmware.

OK,  Now the Spectrum  SPM4649T won't set up on any GCS, so I'm installing a clean 16.09 RC2 GCS and the matching firmware.  I'll put the Lemon SAT receiver back on. It works perfectly with LP GCS.  I'll just give up on the Spectrum for now.  Has anyone else successfully used this receiver?
