Title: Drone flipping on startup
Post by: Wingspanner on August 20, 2017, 04:12:47 pm
Hi Guys i'm a bit of newby so bare with me. I 've just finished building a Tarot 250 with the following spec.
Product Specifications:
250 space through machine FPV Carbon subsection TL250C * 1
Mini CC3D through the machine open source flight control TL300D2 * 1
Tarot 5 inch paddle clover / couple / white TL300E1 * 1
Tarot 5 inch paddle clover / couple / red TL300E2 * 1
Tarot 12A mini power transfer TL300G1 * 4
Tarot MT1806 positive self-locking screw motor / silver cap TL300H1 * 2
Tarot MT1806 self-locking anti-thread motor / black hat TL300H2 * 2

Flew first time on take off but now i seem to have the following problem.
I have calibrated all the esc's both singularly and all together check motor rotatation and prop type but it still tends to flip on applying throttle.
Any ideas?

Hi, welcome.

How the flight controller is mounted / oriented ?
A violent take off flipping like this is likely a wrong FC orientation or a wrong motor assignment.
Output1 is North-West motor, output2 is North-East motor, etc...

Check the orientation (search for a arrow in FC, the virtual attitude rotation will be all 0 if pointing forward) and adjust the virtual attitude rotation (https://librepilot.atlassian.net/wiki/spaces/LPDOC/pages/2818092/CC+Attitude+Configuration) if needed.
