Hi, I have a trouble with Flight Mode Switch Positions.
I've set 5 pos switch at my radio. Here is the screenshot from Remote Control Input tab that shows values for my switch positions 1, 4 and 5.
But at Flight Mode Switch Settings tab when I turn my switch to position 4 or to position 5 it always selects only Pos.5 Stabilized 3 mode for BOTH OF THEM! How is that possible? Please help.

Looks like you manually altered the neutral value.
Redo a manual calibration or tx wizard and see if something changed.
-
Thank you for your reply!
tx wizard didn't help, but manual calibration did! It's still very unclear to me why both this settings are not in sync. I mean if the GUI shows switch position in red zone 4 at Remote Control Input tab it will switch at the same time to Pos.5 in Flight Mode Switch Settings tab?
-
Tx Wizard will do exactly the same if you finish the wizard.
It's still very unclear to me why both this settings are not in sync.
Because you changed the neutral value and due this, fligthmodes ranges are asymmetric.
Gui ignore you changed the neutral but flight side take it in account.
-
I see. Imho it would be less confusing if Gui would not ignore the neutral.
I also have this Config error red sign all the time now, despite I've already changed Manual mode to Stabilized.
-
Imho it would be less confusing if Gui would not ignore the neutral.
I simply assumed users changing neutral known what they are doing (expert mode) and for normal users Manual calibration and Tx Wizard will reset to neutral centered.
RED alarm prevent user errors, generally for safety reasons.
Go to the SystemHealth and click on red alarm, tooltip will give you some information.
If you want a "no confusing" information you can post your config file.

Yes I have this message there, but I didn't select any algorithms manually. I only finished the wizard.

Looks normal so... you want to use RTB and PosHold without using a fusion algorithm supporting Mag+GPS sensors.
You should use INS13.
Take a look here:
https://librepilot.atlassian.net/wiki/display/LPDOC/Advanced+features
You must follow how the pages are ordered in steps.
-
Thanks, and nice you mentioned that, because I took a wild guess and selected Comp+Mag+GPSoutdoor.
I didn't manage to find in Wiki difference of this mode compared to INS13. Is there a hidden place to search?
-
Nothing hidden, just search for INS13 into the Wiki.
https://librepilot.atlassian.net/wiki/display/LPDOC/INS13+-+GPS+Navigation
Anyway all the extended features using GPS always mention INS13 into the Wiki.
-
But this link doesn't describe the difference between other options to choose and they are many.
-
Generally any mode that uses GPS for flight (not just for a point on the map) needs to use INS13. It is only recently that those other options (e.g. Comp+GPS+Mag) have been listed in the GUI. It seems they cause a lot of questions like this...
-
The link give information for complementary and ins13.
Basic (Complementary) : Complementary filter, Gyro, accel + baro / Airspeed if any
Complementary+Mag: Same as above + Mag
Complementary+Mag+GPSOutdoor: Same as above +GPS
INS13Indoor: INS13 with fake GPS
GPS Navigation (INS13): Full INS13
GPS Navigation (INS13+CF): Same as above but uses 2D Mag
Testing (INS Indoor+CF): Same as above but fake GPS
Acro (No Sensors) << Next only, Complementary with Gyro+Accel (No baro/airspeed at all)
Preferred fusion algorithm for navigation starts with "GPS Navigation...."
Complementary+Mag+GPSOutdoor can be used alternatively, only starting with current Next build...
Complementary+Mag+GPSOutdoor is not recommended for fixed-wing because does circles for positionHold. (read Wiki page about circles and CF)
If you don't need extended Nav features, just choose the first (default) "Basic (Complementary)"
-
I think I need to read it deeper to understand difference between complementary and ins13.
Which mode is the best for fixed wing? And how much is then important to use mag there?

Which mode is the best for fixed wing?
Read again the previous post: Basic <> "GPS Navigation...."
