Title: DJI Inspire 1 ground station
Post by: vk4tec on January 09, 2017, 12:51:54 pm
Hello

Need a hand please

I want to run a tack on solution for my DJI Inspire 1

Can I run a CC3D and OPLINK to just get GPS GYRO and ACCELL ?

I want a laptop to show the position and angle of the bird

It seems like a waste but you can.   If you put one on the quad with an oplink it will send telemetry to GCS even if it's not controlling the bird.  If I were going to do it I'd probably use a revolution board since it has the oplink built in.  Or one of the Chinese mini-revolutions with what the Chinese are calling oplink-air.  Either way it would be smaller than a cc3d and external oplink.

Without a compass, the yaw gyro will drift and you won't know whether the roll you see is really a pitch...

Compass use needs Revo class of FC even for just viewing IIRC.
