Title: About the cc3d memory getting short
Post by: eephyne on November 04, 2015, 04:32:31 pm
I don't know i this is the good way to submit ideas so don't hesitate pointing me out the right place :).

If I understant well, the issue with supporting cc3d with new version is because the memory is getting too short for all we want to put inside, right ?

Could it be possible in that case to do the same things that OpenTX ? I'm sure the majority know how they works but for others : Before uploading a firmware on your radio, you need to choose what options to put on the firmware and then you can download a custom-compiled firmware that suit your needs.
I read that was something they made because they was too much for some radio rom size and obviously some peoples don't need somes options (like telemetry or helicopter…).

Beside the fact that it may not be possible, it also need a server to build firmware on-the-fly or to build the firmware on gcs.
