Title: Cc3d atom not conect with esc
Post by: javi_pl on October 14, 2016, 12:33:51 am
Hi I a new user and I starting with cc3d atom on my tarot 450 sport
when I have plug the usb and then I conect the battery everything is correct the esc make normal "beep - beep" and I can use the motor. But when I gonna conect just the battery for fly eveyrhing is working less the motor , the esc doesn't make any "beep" but the the servos are working ok.
The esc is a hobbywing platinum 40a.
The esc is ok because my friend has another atom cc3d and here it's work and in my atom cc3d I tried another esc 50a and work in my cc3d but I need work with the hobbywing esc
Somebody know what hapend?
I tried the file program of my friend but is the same I have the same problem

did you do manual calibration on your radio?
Thank for your fast answer
Yes I configured manualy following the forum my firts step was conect all cables then in the openpilot I went to vehicle tab and select helicopter, then in the input tab I select all the chanels and pwm for the chanel i save and I conect the battery and the esc conect ok I press manual calibration and I save again, after this in output tab i put the range for the servos and the motor I save and everything is working the servos and esc but then when I gonna try conect for fly without usb the esc not working
I hope this is the answer your are waiting
If you want I can qive you more information and the uav file just tell me
Thanks so much for your help

yesJavi,
A UAV might help us figure out what is wrong.

I had one that would not arm (the throttle must go to zero) until I threw the TH (Throttle Hold) switch. My TX didn't go low enough even after manual calibration.

Try using your TH to show your ESC zero throttle. If that works then change a parameter in your TX for low /zero throttle.

I noticed that you have ThrottleCurve2 set the same as curve1. Try this to get negative pitch when you get the motor running:
           <field values="-1,-0.5,0,0.5,1" name="ThrottleCurve2"/>

hope it helps. I will look more in the morning. After I fly if I am lucky enough to have good weather.

But I was triying with the TH for calibrate and make the same .
An for the trottlecurve I was looking where I can change but I didn't find where is can you tell me what is the tab for change the trottlecurve?
I gonna upload a video with the problem for everybody can see maybe is better

I still haven't figured out your ESC arming thing.

And it might be too cold and windy this morning to fly. I must wait for dawn to find out...

Set the throttle curves to look like the one attachment.

thaks dave
I thounk this is for the pithcurve because when I touch here my servos are moving
and the trottle is like before but now I gonna check better.
this is just for the trottlecurve or one of them if for the pithcurve?
I´m uploading a video yet   :D :D
maybe one day you can see the video  ;D ;D
thanks

This is the video with the problem
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iEI9oYIGyZQ
Here you can check with electricity I plug the battery and everything is working but with just the battery the ESC doesn't conect.
I was trying the trottlecurve in this that tab and yes I can cahnge from this tab in the left part on the right I can change pithcurve but where can I change the curve in a diferent flight mode?
Thanks for your help!!

I have had troubles getting servos to work when not tethered to the USB. I had to start with a fresh UAV file because I could not find where the bit that kept servos inactive. Maybe you have the same issue with ESC. Try a new UAV or try another person's UAV that works and modify it for your servos and radio.

I have puzzled over this one.

good luck and let me know
thanks,
Dave

Thank so much dave I gonna try another uav files from here .
Maybe any one can help me.
I was cheking the heli today for try if can fly but the swahsplate moving strange you can check inthis video for if you can help me
This hapend just with the rotor if I dismounting the rotor everything work ok
Thanks

With just the motor and no rotor the stabilization is ok
Why make this?
Thanks

And how can I fix?

Vibration? Is that causing the axis to tilt. Take off the (flybared???) head and spin just the mainshaft. Maybe remove the rear parts too.

Why do you have a flybar? I think the CC3D will fight with the flybar.

I assume you did proper Attitude Calibration.

That jiggle can probably be fixed by putting the throttle neutral just a couple of points higher than minimum.  I may be wrong here. It might be the collective neutral needs to be near minimum. One of my helis has BOTH neutrals near the minimums.

I'm Learning too many things for you.
I tried with just the main shaft and no problem the stabilization is ok.
My Attitude Calibration is for default how and where can I change?

I thounk set up the cc3d in a heli was easier
Hahaha!!
Another cuestion
Is possible have diferent pitchcurve for each fligth mode?
Thans so much

Sorry Im triying again wihtout the rotor just with the main shaft and do the same the stabilization is no ok I think my attitude calibration is wrong

Hello Javi,

There is a lot to learn.

In Libre Pilot / Configuration / Attitude there are easy to follow instructions to calibrate attitude. I have forgotten what they say because my attitude calibration page is little different.
When you have attitude calibrated properly the flight data displays will be stable.

How fast do you run the motor? full speed?

You can use two different pitch curves from CC3D. Sport and 3D. You can make another one (if your TX supports it) in your TX.

Thanks Dave I I know this option but I want to said
where is possible modify the attitude sensitive ?
I need to learn !!
Heheh
Today I maked some changes and the stabilization is less crazy
