Title: considerations for stable flight
Post by: clintonh on March 12, 2016, 02:30:16 pm
Good day all,
I find that I have to keep my stick constantly forward and right by a few degrees to achieve stable hovering of my tricpoter

What should I be considering when troubleshooting this?

Trim the sticks?
Calibration?
Position of the flight controller on the craft?
Cg? How do I work this out?

How is the PFD when the frame is level ?
You should keep all Rc radio trims to zero and redo Tx Wizard calibration.
Adjust Virtual board rotation to match your needs.

I don't know what PFD means. Could you tell me please?

I followed Laurent youtube video for calibration as closely as I could with trim at zero. I do have my board rotated 90 degrees and accounted for that on librepilot. I'll play with the rotation in librepilot  and adjust it 1 or 2 degrees and report back here.

Thank you for the response.

Primary Flight Display

You should not add trim in your radio because it works using Attitude mode but if you switch to Rate your vehicle turn continuously :)
