Title: Flaperons and Airbrakes.
Post by: Zrisst on January 18, 2016, 11:48:13 am
Hello.

While waiting for some parts for the drone, I decided to board a copter control FC in a fixed wing.

Setting up the CC3D, couldn't find a simple way to get an flap / speedbrake mix for using with dual aileron servos.
I mean, using a Tx switch one position: standard aileron function with differential actuation (more displacement upwards); second position: flap, both control surfaces down, and a little more way down of the lowering surface while aileron operation (to avoid stall); third: speedbrake, both surfaces up and still good control of ailerons.

My Futaba7C do this mixdown via programming, but using FC can't take advantage of this Tx feature.
Any clue to get that?

Thank's in advance.

Many thanks.

I hope I'll be able to work on it tonight and check flight tomorrow.

Be aware that there is a bad adverse yaw that you get from flaperons (where they both go down).  If you want speed brakes, it is better to make spoilerons (where they both go up) to avoid the adverse yaw.
