I've installed a buzzer in my quad but when I use the assigned switch to turn it on, it dont make a sound until about 45sec… I'm not sure what I'm doing wrong. For all I know it could be by design?
Its a ordinary discovery buzzer with 2 servo plugs
Did the setup as described https://wiki.openpilot.org/display/WIKI/Adding+a+Buzzer+to+Your+Vehicle

I don't know about the delay for your buzzer but the method described on wiki is a really old way.
You should use the pass trough displayed in Multirotor vehicle tab and set min/max/neutral in Output tab.
In example above Accessory0 is mapped with Output 5
With this method you vehicle type still a Quad, not a 'Custom vehicle'

I use the very same configuration used by Laurent and it works fine.
I guess it is the buzzer that introduces the delay.
For reference i use this one http://www.hobbyking.com/hobbyking/store/__14521__HobbyKing_174_Discovery_Buzzer.html
You may also want to make sure that in failsafe position it start ringing (try reversing the output channel in case it doesn't)
Cheers.

I've changed to use the pass trough as well. When I initial did the setup I couldn't figure out why it dident work but the delay must be by design on buzzer.
I've attached a picture of it in case someone else encounter same confusion.
Thanks

I use the same method for an RC switch that drive the rear LED bar.
With Spektrum receivers, you set the failsafe options during the first binding.
My copters activate discovery buzzer and LEDs in failsafe condition.

I think this buzzer is not working. I have the same but I couldn't make it work.
