Hi.
I cant upgrade my CC3D firmware with LibrePilot. Getting timed out and a message that tells me to use the uploader plugin.
So I found that if I use the Firmware-tab I should make it work but i get the same error.
Added a picture of the error message. My board is blinking blue and the green LED is not blinking, its constant green.
I am running windows 10 if that helps to solve the problem
Any ideas?

Hi,
Welcome.
If timeout maybe your board have a v3 bootloader.
Try update bootloader first:
https://librepilot.atlassian.net/wiki/display/LPDOC/Firmware+Tab
or
- Disconnect the board from USB.
- Click Upgrade & Erase button
- Connect the board to automatically install firmware and erase flash.
- Disconnect / Reconnect for reboot if fails to reboot automatically.
-
I had the same thing happen. I just tried again and it worked fine on the second try
-
Now I have the latest firmware on the board and have updated the bootloader. But when i want to run the Wizard I have the problem that I cant click next when doing the board identification.
I have added a picture.

Looks like your board is not running, there is no Rx data displayed on bottom.
How it works while you power the board ? Fast blinking at some point ?
-
There is fast blinking when I connect the CC3D with LibrePilot. Then I only have one green dot for the TX. Then where you can see all the stats for the board. Flight Time and so. There is says "Log Replay", added image.
-
- Try Rescue button
- Connect board
Witch Bootloader version ?
If BL v4, try again with Upgrade&Erase and be sure you wait for Erase.
-
So. Now i get "Time out while booting. Press OK to finish, you will have to manually upgrade the board".
Really want it to work.
-
This should not append with this method:
- Disconnect board first
- Rescue button or Upgrade&Erase
- Connect board

I have done this and nothing changes. When doing the Upgrade&Erase right before the rebooting the computer looses the connection with the USB, that it cant be recognised. Can this be the problem?
-
Are you sure the bootloader is v4 ?
Connecting board after click on button ?

Yes the bootloader is v4 and I am clicking the button before i connect the board.
Added a image for some information from the Rescue

Driver issue ?
-
I had this same exact issue and I uninstalled and reinstalled VCP driver package then followed the upgrade and erase steps and it all came back!
-
Updated 4 CC3D Atoms from eBay (boot loader CC3D) today. Each had exactly the same problem.
"Getting timed out and a message that tells me to use the uploader plugin"
Further investigation I found, that the Wizard refusing to erase settings.
The Solution : Go to firmware and do the recovery. But only do the "erase". (wait long enough the erase process to complete)Then upload firmware manually. After all is done go back to wizard and unselect "erase settings" before starting.
The boot loader is exactly same in Openpilot and libreoffice and there is no need to reinstall that.

Hi,
When you get this error message: "Time out while booting. Press OK to finish, you will have to manually upgrade the board". This trick worked for me:
1) Unplug your board.
2) Click on Upgrade & Erase.
3) Plug back your board.
4) It will update but block while the "Remove settings from the board" process is starting ...
5) You unplug again and plug it back.
The Upgrade will be successful, just unplug and plug your USB cable back before it shows the red error message about the timing-out.
