Title: Flying Range For Quadcopters
Post by: JanithMS on January 04, 2017, 02:23:26 pm
Hi,

This may me a stupid question.
Whats the normal flying range to fly a quadcopter without any gps assistance, just with accels & gyros without getting lost?

I love flying high altitudes.I have tried to fly about 80m with my 4ch FLYSKY TX. There is no manual for it. So i dont know the exact signal range.

I want to know whats the maximum distance to fly a quad with my TX.

Thanks

Flying high you might get 1 or 2 km, with a typical radio, but flying low you get much less.

If you are flying LOS you can't see it that far.  You can do it with FPV, although some countries outlaw that.
