When trying to set up my flying wing, when I move the sliders for the servos, there is no "green arrow" that shows the direction that the elevons are supposed to go. It is trial and error and doing the wizard a few times to get it right.

No need trial and error and redo the vehicle wizard.
You can setup the min/max/neutral and next reverse the servo in Output tab.
Please give the exact config/vehicle where you see the issue.

After a quick check, every flying wing vehicle in wizard show the green arrow up/down while i setup the servos.
Maybe i miss something... what GCS version do you use ?

16.09. it did this in 15.09 too. I have a feeling it is a graphics issue because I see other weird things too. For Ver 15.09, all the the icons on the welcome screen were fuzzy and flickery. I may just have to install it on a different computer.

Ok (no need to quote the post just above)
Try reinstalling the GCS and select the Mesa driver to be installed.

What type do you setup ?
fixed wing one / two servos ?
elevon ?
vtail ?

I did make sure to check the box when I installed 16.09 but I think I skipped it on ver 15.09. 16.09 did not have the same fuzziness on the welcome screen but it still does not show the green arrows. I am doing flying wing with elevons.

There is no reason, that simple SVG graphics.
Try with default desktop settings, i see you have some transparency on window decorations.
Linux:

Same under Windows:

Still getting the same thing with all transparency stuff turned off. If I'm the only one that is reporting it, I'll just deal with it but I thought maybe others would have similar issues.
