Title: Farwest Rotors Falcon
Post by: macphyter on November 05, 2016, 05:16:26 am
I just noticed this post about a Revolution clone called the Farwest Rotors Falcon

https://forum.librepilot.org/index.php?topic=934.msg6798#msg6798

It apparently uses the Invensense MPU-9250, and runs the SPI bus at 20 MHz.  They also claim that it's compatible with LibrePilot 15.09.  How well is it supported by LP?  Is there a custom board definition in the firmware that recognizes it as a Falcon board?  If not, then it seems like one would need to re-compile the firmware with the MPU-9250 driver selected in the header files.

Has anyone used this or any other hardware with LP that has the MPU-9250?

I have one. It's essentially an OP Nano Revo on a standard size board. LP sees it as a Nano, works fine. Kind of expensive now that there are so many clones. Also, as with Nano, no 433 radio. Which I kind of miss.

Thanks ggrif

I should have dug deeper before posting...  now I see that the Revo Nano uses the MPU-9250, and the Falcon board just acts like a Revo Nano in LP.  It all makes sense now. :)
