Hello,
I did several tests with LibrePilot and it flies perfectly!
I put a Revolution on an old quad (http://www.hobbyking.com/hobbyking/store/__52863__HobbyKing_Spec_FPV250_V2_Drone_ARF_Combo_Kit_Mini_Sized_FPV_Drone_ARF_.html), used the assistant and it flies out-of-the-box! I tried acro and attitude as well as GPS mode (PositionHold and VelocityRoam).
I also used the Android app because the battery of my laptop died and everything was working well :)
I need to spend time to fine-tune the different gains, especially for the altitude.
I also tried PathPlanner but it wasn't working, I think I don't have the right configuration but I'm looking forward doing autonomous flight!

It is great that your quad is flying beautifully.
Am a newbie so still working on getting my 500mm size frame to fly gracefully.

Chinese S500 frame
Emax 25 amp ESCs
3300 3 s lipo
Sunnysky 2212 motors
10x4.5 props
Revo
May I ask a couple of questions
1. Did you plug only 1 ESC with all 3 (+, -, signal) wires into Revo. And the rest with just signal wire ?
2. What GPS did you use?

Hello Mak,
Yes you need to plug only 1 ESC with the +. For the ground it depends, I have ground for all of the ESC but only on 1 should be fine because the ground is common, unless you have opto-isolated ESC.
I have the Revolution GPS but you can use any ublox GPS + magnetometer

I thought that I had to only plug in 1 ESC with + and -. Others in this forum have opined that all 4 ESCs sould be plugged in with + and -. When I did plug in all the ESCs my quad flew. My ESCs are linear with BEC.

Connecting all 3 wires (s,+,-) to Revo from ESC with BEC is not recommended for a few reasons.
- First of all, there is always some minimal voltage difference since not all components are perfect. The load will end up going through the one with highest volatage. However if you draw too much current then the dominating BEC will sag and other BEC will also start providing current. This situation might cause two BECs to fight eachother and switching between them. Such oscilations might damage your ESC.
- Second reason is that you always prefer Opto ESC without any BEC. ESC with active damping if enabled and high speed already work hard generating heat, you don't really want to stress these components more, so if you have a choice I would suggest Opto ESC. Opto does not in most cases mean opto-isolated, it's just became common to name ESC without BEC (some are with, some without opto-isolation, but mostly without).
If you have ESC with BEC, just remove middle middle + wire from all of them except one used to power FC. If you connect all wires for all motors it may fly, but because above it is not recommended.

We sometimes do things differently. :)
I have all my ESC wires intact on all my quads. It does generally make one ESC warmer than the others, but the one where you leave the wires intact will also get warmer for the same reason.
It doesn't hurt to disconnect the extra BECs by disconnecting the red wires. but it is extra work, and some people cut them which is extra work to put them back when you need to.
This is generally safe if your ESCs have linear BECs. Most do. Actually, any ESC with a linear BEC that says more than 1 amp will generally have several BEC chips inside it. By leaving all your ESC wires intact, you are doing the same thing externally that they are already doing internally.
The one time I would recommend disconnecting the red wire on all but one ESC is if they have switching BECs in them.
