Title: Revo & GPS.. nearly working, completely stumped
Post by: drmeatball on June 08, 2016, 10:35:30 pm
[First post. I've lurked forever.]

I'm so close to having this working but I'm now completely stumped. Everything is green, GCS map shows everything that it should be showing, I can even (kinda) fly in GPS modes. I'm so close..

If I place the quad down on a level surface it'll show as level in GCS. If I rotate/yaw 90/270deg (in either direction) it un-levels by a few degrees. Return to 0/180, everything is level. I've re-calibrated everything a few times (even thermal once).

Attaching some pics, hopefully they make sense.

Ideas?

Revo + M8N

If you understand all sensor data (13 inputs) are used to determine the vehicle attitude using INS13, your result is pretty good.

This also implies all alarms still Green while vehicle is in flight, especially Mag alarm. (no disturbed Mag)

Back to the drawing board I think.. mag goes to yellow/red when I hit the throttle.

On most small quads the revo's internal mag is unusable.  The revo is just too close to the wiring. You should probably install an external mag, either in a gps or one of the tiny mag only boards.
