Title: Quadcopter | CC3D | Motor Min/Max
Post by: Koqenz on May 25, 2016, 01:24:02 am
Hi, very new to this! I've just setup my DYS 250 Carbon from Hobby King and found my motors would not start.

Eventually I found the settings for the motors were set to min 1000, max 1000 in LibrePilot.

Of course, 1000 wasn't enough to get the motors started! So I changed the Max to 2000 and voila, motors spin up when throttling up!

My question is; what are these measurements of? What does 1000 or 2000 mean?

My motors are 2300kv and I'm concerned a misconfig could break the motors.

Thanks for your help!

Hi,

Welcome here.

Default values are set to 1000µs for safety, so motor should not start.
The values refers to the pulse length (in µs) that sent to the Esc.

You should start the Vehicle wizard to setup your quad just fine.

I had gone through the vehicle config but stumble across this afterwards.
