Title: Issuing waypoints in real time
Post by: darkdave on April 25, 2016, 09:26:22 pm
How do I use the GCS to issue waypoints to the drone in real time?

And what is HITL? I ticked the GCS box in the HITL tab one time and it made my drone power up! It was connected to a battery still recharging so thankfully it disconnected while taking off instead of hitting my roof.

Do I use the HITL to issue commands to my drone in real time or the Flight Data Tab? I notice there is a "Magic Waypoint" option. Is this the way to issue real time commands to my drone?

Never used, i can't say if possible.

GCS control overwrites the Input from RC.
Be safe: Doing try and error with options while the battery is connected to vehicle is not a very good idea.

HITL / SITL (Hardware or Software)-In-The-Loop allows testing pathplanner and waypoints without leaving your desk.
Flight is done in Flight Simulator.
