Title: Newbie-Need help with first install
Post by: dcruze on March 29, 2016, 09:27:22 pm
I just purchased a Eachine Racer 250 and would like to bind it to my FS Th9x controller that I have for my 3DR Iris+. I placed a spare FRSky d4R-II receiver that I had in the  Racer to make sure it would bind with my controller.

I downloaded Libre Pilot 15.09 and install the firmware on the the copter. I have been going through the setup and got to the part for the transmitter where it wants you to move the throttle. I don't see that I am getting any input from the transmitter.

Do I need to set up other channels or won't this work? I need help.

Is the receiver powered ?
Do you apply external power ?

Be sure you connect the right PPM input wire, check the Hardware tab.

I have the receiver set up as the illustration and a jumper on the middle row of pin 3 and 4. I don't see any response in the software that it is receiving signal.

Illustration should match the PPM option you choose in Hardware tab.
Usb do not power you receiver.

Post a screenshot from Hardware tab and picture how you wired the receiver.

...jumper on the middle row of pin 3 and 4...

Are you sure you're jumpering the correct pins on the receiver?  I can't see any way they could be referred to as "middle".  Are you jumpering the pins shown in the last illustration in the manual?

Yes, I was on the wrong pins.
I now have it flying for the first time. It wants to move backwards after it takes off. Can I adjust this by changing the motor speed or something else?

What is the proper way to get it tuned?
