Micro MinimOSD won"t display Altitude on Revo
« on: February 15, 2016, 05:59:14 pm »
I've got the OSD working to some degree. It's hooked up to the Receiver port configured for Telemetry and set at 57600 speed. I'm using the OP Link as PPM transmitter and that seems to work correctly. The character set was updated along with the Revo Only firmware. I can display a correct Horizon, RSSI, Timer, and Temp using Baro sensor. It won't display Call Sign as changed and displayed on config software. It won't display Altitude or Vertical Speed. The area that it should display in is blank. I can change panels with the Flight Mode switch and I can enter the setup mode when booting.

15.09 firmware and GCS Flight Mode displays all of the telemetry correctly. What am I missing?

Hi,

Assuming you are using the firmware version from wiki page (LP_All_From_Revo0601.hex) maybe the altitude field is overwritten by other field.

Callsign is not supported.

Hi,

Thank You for your quick reply. I just moved the Altitude and Climb Rate positions on panel 1 and panel 2 to different locations. Still doesn't display. Panel 1 has only Pitch, Roll, Altitude, and Climb Rate. Pitch and Roll are correctly displayed. Panel 2 has Temperature, RSSI, Horizon, Altitude, and Climb Rate. Temp, RSSI, and Horizon all display correctly. Temp increases as board warms up. Horizon follows aircraft movements with correct characters. No Altitude or Climb Rate.

Are you sure your firmware is updated ?

At boot you should see "MinopOSD Librepilot Revo" on first screen

Yes. My boot screen is just like the picture you posted. When I display the timer I get the timer counting up but the Field below it is E 00:00. The zeros don't change. Horizon looks the same as the other picture, just nothing displayed that could be altitude.

One other strange thing is that my Flight Mode switch position 3 takes it into setup mode instead of a blank panel. Positions 1 and 2 select Panel 1 and 2 as it should.

That really strange... there is nothing that prevents latitude display, even if no data.
The "E00.00" refers to estimated time based on battery sensor data.

Did you use the ConfigTool downloaded from wiki page ?

Yes, all from the same instruction page. It says 2.1.3.0 at the top.

OK! Your last post fixed it for me. I had no idea what "Home Altitude" was. I was using the "Altitude" data field. I am not using GPS yet.

Thank you for your patience and help.

But you pointed one thing, with Revo the climb rate can be done without GPS :)
