Title: fc position
Post by: finst on March 30, 2016, 07:56:39 pm
Hey guys!

I was wondering whether it makes a difference if the revo for example was mounted not in the center of the aircraft but somwhere else. Not rotated, just moved i.e. towards the front with the orientation remaining the same. Does this offset matter?

Thanks in advance!

You can put it pretty much anywhere you want.  Your can even rotate it or mount it upside down.  There's a setting for virtual rotate. https://librepilot.atlassian.net/wiki/display/LPDOC/Revo+Attitude+Configuration#RevoAttitudeConfiguration-VirtualAttituderotation for the revo or https://librepilot.atlassian.net/wiki/display/LPDOC/CC+Attitude+Configuration for the cc3d

In theory you want the sensor chip right in the center of gravity of your craft, but in practice you'd probably have to mount the revo on the end of an arm or something like that to notice the difference...
