Title: Flashing Firmware
Post by: Lwayne on November 24, 2015, 03:17:10 pm
I don't know if this a bug or not. When Flashing new firmware to CC3D board. From the Vehicle Setup Wizard, I get an board fail to re-boot unplug wait 30 Sec re connect when connected click OK. It will never connect, So If i connect the battery first then plug in the usb it connects and that is the only time it needs the battery to connect. (maybe my Usb isn't supplying enough power). Just thought I would throw that out there.

I am testing a the latest code on a CC3D and I don't get that problem.

You didn't mention that you erased settings, and that could be the problem.

If you need your settings, I would suggest that you use the old version of GCS to reflash the old firmware, export your old settings, and view your settings to write them down.  PIDs, flight modes, roll rates, tweaks, etc.

Then use the new GCS to flash the new firmware and "erase settings" this time, right after flashing.  When you reboot after that, you should run the wizards and manually enter PIDs, etc.

Check the bootloader version:

Disconnect board
Hit 'Rescue' button
Connect board

If bootloader is v3, update first to v4 following this procedure:

I had to use the rescue and flash buttons to get the the board to work with LP as it had OP on it. I had to try 3 usb Cables befor I got a solid and stable Connection. the other 2 Cables would randomly lose Connection but they do work well with my camera. some Cables just does not seem to work good even if they fit good without wobble
