CC3D possible upgrading
« on: August 02, 2016, 05:30:42 am »
I have several CC3D boards and I am wondering if it is possible to further upgrade the firmware. This is the present setting:

Copter Control
Device ID: 402
HW Revision : 2
BL Version: 4
CPU Serial: 49ff6e067188485647302467

Firmware tag: RELEASE-15.02.02
Firmware date: 2015-05-12
Git commit hash: 29b92655
Firmware CRC: 0

Thank you in advance for any help
Theory is wonderful: every one understands it, but most of the time it does not work. Praxis, instead, always works but nobody understand why.

With BL4 already installed, you can upgrade to use LibrePilot with less hassle, the question is what do you get for your effort if OP 15.02.02 is tuned and working well?  :)

If I were you, I would read through the LP 15.09 release notes for new things that interest you.

LP 15.09 is probably not much different than what you are flying right now, but our coming release will have some new things, like additional RC protocols, no more need for a throttle curve that stops at 90% (I don't recall that is part of 15.09, but I may be wrong) and probably things I have forgotten about.  :)  We also have EasyTune and AutoTune for easy tuning of new models.  AutoTune may be available as a special firmware because it is not directly supported in CC3D firmware (no more room there).
