Title: Revolution Board - attitude mode problem.
Post by: gionibravo on December 31, 2016, 04:46:37 pm
Hello,

I have a reptile500 with revolution board.
It was flying perfect before I had a big crash.
I changed props, arms, added VTX and camera.
Now when i fly it, i can barely control it.
In Rate mode everything is good, I tunned PIDs and it flyies very nice, but when i go in atti mode, it driffts very bad to the right. I changed the values in attitude->settings for virtual boardlevel, but it keeps driffting, sometimes it stays still, sometimes driffts a little left, but mosly driffts hard right.
I am trieing to use it at -8°C, could the cold be the problem?
Please help!

Your issue is definitively related to vibrations that affects the Accelerometers.

Balance props and mount the board using adhesive foam or something that reduce/dampen vibrations.
Be sure the Attitude > Settings > Filtering  Acceleromters is not set to zero.

strange cause i didn`t have this problem before, and it is mounted the same.
Now i have better props and better balanced motors, so less vibrations than before.
I will look if accel filter is 0 or not, and i will try mounting on some foam.

Look for damaged arms or loose mounting or bad motor mounts.  If it can flex more than before, it will do that sometimes.
